“Rock-solid, with dark fig, currant and blackberry fruit, melded with charcoal and warm tobacco leaf notes, all sheathed in loamy tannins through the finish. Buried acidity will help this cellar until the grip softens. Best from 2016 through 2020.”

The flagship, single-vineyard Stark-Condé Three Pines Jonkershoek Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 was awarded the Best Cabernet Sauvignon Trophy at the Six Nations Wine Competition held in Australia. Only 3995 bottles were produced from this tiny 23-year-old vineyard. José describes the Three Pines Syrah as “ It has a lot of guts and succeeds in balancing elegance with power.”

The Three Pines Syrah 2011 was awarded 5 stars in the Platters’s competition of 2013. According to winemaker, José Conde this is to be the best vintage yet. After many nominations, this wine has finally been recognised for its elegant, refined style of Syrah. Exotic spice and aniseed aromas followed by intense flavour and a mouthfeel like the texture of crushed violets.
