“A dark, smoldering style, with toast, spice and graphite notes leading the way, while the core of mulled blueberry, dark plum and blackberry fruit waits in reserve. Shows anise and cinnamon flecks on the finish.”

“The 2009 Three Pines Syrah reveals intriguing notes of wild fennel and crushed violets infused into the broody dark, earthy fruit. The palate is medium-bodied and demonstrates exquisite balance, perfectly judged acidity that is threaded through pure boysenberry, dark plum and cassis fruit. The finish is multi-layered and almost honeyed in texture. There is a convincing marriage of power and elegance – Bravo!”

“The beautiful 2009 has a very well defined bouquet with dark cherries, cockleshell and underbrush, later suggestions of thyme and fennel. The palate is very well balanced with fleshy ripe red-berry fruit and sumptuous tannins that cloak the mouth in pleasure. It has great purity and wonderful focus on the finish. This Syrah is well worth seeking out”.

“A good brick-house style Cabernet, with authoritative grip from the start holding the core of dark plum, steeped black current and mulled blackberry fruit together. This muscular finish sports dark tobacco, baker’s chocolate and scorched earth notes, with ample flesh for the cellar.”

“A winey, tangy style for Cabernet, with damson plum, linzer torte and loganberry fruit stitched with savory herb and fresh tobacco leaf notes. Features a long, iron-tinged finish.”
